Hi cuties! We absolutely love our teddy bear cookies & I know how good they’ll taste straight out of the oven, which is why we made the teddy bear cookie mix for you to make bakery-style cookies straight from your kitchen!
We spent months curating this recipe so I know they’ll taste just as good as they look 🙂
What you’ll need:
115g butter
1 egg
Parchment paper
Baking tray
Bowl
Whisk
Recipe:
Step 1:
•Brown the butter
Melt 115g butter on low- medium heat once fully melted keep stirring. The butter will begin to foam and sizzle around the edges. Keep stirring and the butter will turn golden brown. The foam will slightly subside and the milk solids on the bottom of the pan will toast take off the heat and pour into a bowl and let cool for 5 min. This creates such a depth in flavour in cookies so you shouldn’t skip browning your butter!
Step 2:
Pour the bag labelled ‘sugar mix’ into the bowl with brown butter and stir until combined.
Step 3:
Add one egg and whisk for 3-5 minutes on medium speed until much lighter in colour.
Step 4:
Pour the bag labelled ‘flour mix’ into the bowl and fold until it’s about half combined and add the ‘choco chips’ bag and stir until you can no longer see flour (do not over mix)
Step 5:
Make mini round balls (ears) of 7g, there should be 12 in total. Then separate the rest of the dough into 6 cookie dough balls and set aside. Place the dough into the freezer for 1-2 hours or in the fridge for at least 24 hours.
Step 6:
Preheat the oven to 160 degrees fan
Step 7:
Place the ears on the top left and right of each large dough ball and place on a baking tray with parchment paper 4-5 inches apart per cookie.
Step 8:
Place the cookies in the oven and bake for 10 minutes. Leave the cookies to cool for 10 minutes and enjoy!
